Myopia Management
Our practice is dedicated in preventing and slowing down the progression of Myopia (nearsightedness). Doctors Cho, Butzon and Herzberg are certified to prescribe FDA approved treatments, Orthokeratology (over night wear) and MiSight (day time wear) lenses to improve your child's vision. Dr. Cho also fits ortho-k lenses for adults and those who do not want to wear glasses for reading. Dr. Herzberg is a true visionary in the field of Myopia Management, boasting over thirty years of experience in this area.
Dry Eye Treatment
To keep your eyes healthy, you need to have tears to provide moisture and lubrication. This is not only for your comfort, but it helps with your vision. Tears are secreted by glands around your eyes.
Our clinic provides an in-office treatment with Lipiflow, the only FDA approved device to restore function of the meibomian glands.

Steve Butzon, O.D.
Steve Butzon, O.D. received his Bachelor of Science in Natural Science and a minor in French from the University of North Dakota. He attended the Illinois College of Optometry and graduated with a Bachelor in Visual Science and a Doctorate of Optometry.
Dr. Butzon is an active member of the Illinois and American Optometric Association having served 10 years as a local society president. He has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye related diseases and works closely with other allied health care providers and eye care providers in the co-management of both surgical and advanced eye diseases.
Meet Steve Butzon, O.D.Caroline Cho, O.D., IACMM
Caroline Cho, O.D., IACMM, received her Bachelor of Science in microbiology from The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Visual Science and a Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Cho is an active member of the Illinois and American Optometric Association as well as the Academy of Myopic Control and Orthokeratology (Ortho-K). She has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye related diseases such as bacterial infections, corneal ulcers, and co-management of glaucoma and dry-eye patients.

Cary Herzberg, O.D., FIAOMC IACMM, is a true visionary in the field of Myopia Management, with more than 30 years of experience in this field. As a third-generation optometrist, Dr. Herzberg has recently combined his expertise in myopia management by merging his practice with Dr. Caroline Cho.
Dr. Herzberg is a member of the Illinois and American Optometric Association. He is a leader in the field designing ortho-k and scleral contact lenses. He is currently a consultant with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care. As founder of both the American and International Academy of Myopia Control, his dedication and passion to educate his fellow colleagues both here and around the world has brought him many awards to numerous to mention.

I went here to see Dr. Cho for Ortho K. I was so happy when she took my case, as lam over 50 and have a very complicated prescription (astigmatism & far sided). She worked very closely with me, and here I am, about 1-1/2 years in, and I can't believe I can work, read and drive with NO GLASSES!! I chose DuPage Optical because of the good reviews. So very glad I did. When getting the examination they do a shot of air in your eye - ugh!!!! I so hate that!! So when I asked them do we need to do that,yes. They had this very cool tool that just barely touches your eyelashes. It was perfect because like stated…. i hate that blast of air in my eyes. The ladies at the front desk were awesome! So ready to make you welcomed. The doctor was fabulous; very thorough. When choosing a pair of glasses that would fit my shape face, the woman at the desk helped.Very satisfied!

If you are having an issue being fitted for Scleral Contact Lenses, your next step should be to make an appointment at DuPage Optical in Addison, I can’t tell you how blessed I feel to have found Dr. Butzon and his team just blocks from my home!I really struggled accepting this and finally made the decision to get another opinion, well I have to tell you that Dr. Butzon is the most patient and through eye doctor I have ever had and I can honestly say that I am 150% satisfied with my new Scleral Multi Focal contact lenses. I have not seen this clearly for reading, computer and distance in what seems like forever, thank you so much for everything, you are the best!
